The role:
This role is suitable for a Media Lawyer who is looking to play an integral part within an exciting start-up in the Sustainable Sports sector.
As Legal Counsel, you will provide commercially focused legal advice on a wide variety of legal areas. You will be instrumental in the drafting and negotiation of a wide range of commercial agreements, including; sports media rights agreements, from buy and/or sell side, sponsorship agreements, licensing agreements, commission agreements, digital services framework agreements, hospitality contracts and much more.
You will be part of a team of 3, working under the businesses' General Counsel who has a breadth of experience in the Sports industry. You will also be involved with a handful of commercial tasks, such as IP, Operations and supporting the Sustainability team.
They are looking for someone with a solid commercial/media background. It is also essential for you to have worked with global broadcasters and content distributors, are familiar with legal and regulatory issues pertaining to sports broadcast and media rights, and experience of sports production matters.
The ideal candidate:
1. Media/Commercial Solicitor with 3+PQE and In-House experience for a Media business
2. Excellent drafting skills and knowledge of the Media sector
3. Experience in Sports is advantageous
