ABC Teachers work with a range of schools in the Dudley and Sandwell areas that are looking for Learning Support Assistants, SEND Teaching Assistants and Higher Level Teaching Assistants to work within our nurseries and primary schools. We are looking for candidates to start as soon as possible as well as having opportunities for after Easter. The variety of jobs we offer range from long-term to short-term positions and can be for as many days a week as you require, whether this be full time, part-time or day to day. As a Teaching Assistant you could be working with a range of SEN needs. (Mainly pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, non-verbal pupils and pupils with behavioural needs.) You could also be working along-side the class teacher to support the class. About you: To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will: Have previous experience working with primary-aged children and students with a range of special educational needs. Suitable qualifications to work with young people and support students with SEND, this is highly desirable. Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students. Be able to work as part of a team and be confident dealing with occasional behavioural challenges Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
