An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Radiographer to join the Clinical Radiology Management team as a Band 7 Deputy Clinical Lead in Plain Film, Fluoroscopy and Dental.
The applicant must be knowledgeable, motivated and dedicated to providing safe, efficient and patient-centred care.
The post holder will be responsible for the daily organization, management and co-ordination of the department providing support for the Clinical Lead, training and mentoring for Band 6 staff and below including Assistant Practitioners and students.
The areas this role will cover are: Dental, Cardiology, DEXA, Fluoroscopy & Plain Film imaging, however this list is not exhaustive. The post holder will also be expected to produce the shift rota and will be expected to cover Clinical Lead duties when they are away from work.
The successful candidate should show initiative and creativity working towards developing and expanding new ways of increasing the quality of the service.
The applicants will need evidence of leadership experience including experience in managing the day to day running of a department within Clinical Radiology. They should be enthusiastic and passionate about the Plain Film imaging and Fluoroscopy service. They should also be proactive and forward thinking in how to take this section forward into the future.
Main duties of the job
1. To support and assist the Clinical Lead in overseeing the daily operations of the X ray department, coordinating and organising the department as appropriate.
2. To deputise for the Clinical Lead in their absence.
3. To demonstrate a high level of skill and knowledge with experience of leadership.
4. To participate and actively encourage Quality Improvement initiatives.
5. To ensure a collaborative and efficient work environment.
6. To be forward thinking and challenge appropriately.
7. To support and develop the Radiography workforce.
8. To support adaptation of the service in line with demand.

* To be able to work at a high level, and to demonstrate leadership and organisational skills
