As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to investing in our approach to Procurement across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Indirect Buyer to join our Procurement Team, based at our Brackley site. The role is office based but there may be a requirement for you to go within the factory environment. Working hours are Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17.00 What will you be doing as an Indirect Buyer at Avara? As an indirect buyer you will be responsible for identifying and procuring indirect items and services for the business. You will also focus on category optimisation, process improvement and delivering against individual and departmental goals. This role will focus on HR, IT and Professional services for the whole business. The role will work closely with heads of HR, IT and recruitment leads to improve processes and drive value through these area. What will your key responsibilities as an Indirect Buyer include? Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with all sites and preferred suppliers. Negotiating prices, agree terms and conditions and where required set up contracts and supply agreements. Perform spend, contract and market analysis for categories of responsibility for communication to the wider business. Monitor and maintain the contracts database. Source new products and services with suppliers where required ensuring compliance with legislation and standards, including but not limited to Retailer, ethical and environmental. Develop a good understanding of supply chain and markets for categories of responsibility and how they will impact the business. Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against targets and project deadlines.
