Working with the engineering department to help identify cutline performance and machine issues and through scheduled PPM and reactive repairs ensure best operational and yield targets are achieved
Assist the chiller operations management team to achieve best operational performance. Identify machine Minder development needs to ensure knowledge and attitude foster 100% responsibility
Carryout routine PPM schedules as required .
Hours of work : 4on/4off, 16:00-04:00
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Be familiar will all Meyn and Marel End to End sorting, cutting and weighing equipment and control systems
* Identify machine performance issues that have a direct impact on department KPI’s including safety, quality ,customer service, yield, waste and line availability
* Liaise between production and engineering to arrange and support immediate and scheduled equipment repairs / Service
* Assist Chiller and Engineering management team to identify and deliver operator / Engineering training requirements
* Manage all production Planned preventative Maintenance schedules
* Manage Cutline blade changing schedules and work to maximise performance whilst controlling cost across all shifts
* Work with nominated Engineering lead to review PPM schedules ensuring they are aligned to requirements and report attainment
* Liaise with Engineering and stores staff to ensure available parts are on stock for planned work schedules.
* Working with Production management arrange suitable modifications to reduce/ eliminate spillage
* Working as part of the operations management team to maximise Yield, quality, and machine uptime driving production efficiencies and labour utilisation to minimise the sites overhead and unit costs.
* To ensure a pro-active engineering and development process, particularly for equipment and layout upgrades.
* Improve the sites technical and hygiene levels to match best in industry standards
* Support Engineering teams as required to achieve best results
* Be available outside of operational hours with priority during each quarterly factory service periods and alternate weekend periods as work demand requires
* Train to be able to sign off grade 1,2 machine minders
