We are seeking to appoint an experienced and dedicated proactive HR Manager to join an exemplary SEND provision in Wallington and Carshalton, providing operational HR support across our campuses.
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a managerial role within the campuses,
embed systems and processes and lead the HR Operations Team.
This role requires a highly focused individual who is organised and passionate about making a difference for our school and the local communities. The successful candidate will be a highly efficient with outstanding attention to detail.

In this role, you will assist the Senior Leaders and colleagues in delivering expert advice on HR administration, data management, and a wide range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary procedures, grievances, performance management, and change management.
As an HR Manager, you will guide all managers in applying employment law and school policies, ensuring organisational consistency. You'll also coach and support all managers through various operational challenges, from investigations and appraisals to hearings and organisational change initiatives.
The successful School HR Manager will provide comprehensive HR advice and support, manage HR operations, and uphold HR policies to ensure a productive and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
* You will have held a similar post as an HR Manager or experienced HR Officer looking for a ‘step up’ into a more senior role.
* Experience providing expert HR advice and support to staff and management on HR issues, including employee relations, performance management, and employment law.
* Assisting in the resolution of employee grievances and disciplinary procedures.
* Offering guidance on HR best practices and ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
* You will be working closely with the leadership team to develop and implement HR strategies that support the school's overall mission and objectives, so you must have experience supporting senior members.
* Participating in leadership meetings to provide HR insights and updates.
* Supporting the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of high-quality staff.
* Overseeing the day-to-day HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, and employee records management.
* Ensuring accurate and timely processing of HR documentation and reports.
* Managing the HR budget and optimising HR resources effectively.
* Developing, reviewing, and updating HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
* Communicating and enforcing HR policies across the organisation.
* Conducting training sessions to educate staff on HR policies and procedures.
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD) preferred.
* Proven experience in an HR management role, preferably within an educational or SEND.
* Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
* Strong organisational and multitasking
