About the role
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of tenants and residents? We have an opportunity for a proactive and experienced Lead Officer (Housing Management & Coordination) to play a vital role in supporting tenancy sustainment, managing complex housing cases, and leading a dedicated housing management team.
This is a varied role which will see you representing the Council in legal proceedings related to tenancy enforcement and working closely with Housing Officers and Coordinators across both General Needs and Independent Living schemes. Youll conduct in-depth tenancy reviews, provide expert advice and guidance, and ensure that legal and community-based solutions are effectively balanced.
We as a team drive for excellence in all our work and you will support this by leading and guiding the team through individual case supervision, final reviews of high-risk cases and by identifying and supporting the implementation of new practices and strategies.
Youll also play a key role in managing high-risk anti-social behaviour cases, coordinating multi-agency support, and ensuring our housing services remain responsive, resident-focused, and aligned with both local priorities and national legislation.
About you
Youll have extensive specialist knowledge around all aspects of Housing Management and Housing Coordination and experience and understanding of the legislation that underpins it. You must have the ability to work with others in a fair and assertive manner using your excellent communication skills, with a solution focused outlook.
You must have an expert technical knowledge of delivering Housing Management and tenancy coordination excellent communication skills, enforcement experience and a commitment to providing a first-class service to our customers.
