Project Manager (Site based) Thetford Construction Main Contractor New Build / Refurbishment / Fit Out Contract Values of £2m - £5m 13 - 18 week duration minimum TEMPORARY ROLE The Company Our client is a construction main contractor who work nationally from a number of offices. They are looking to appoint a site based Project Manager after a number of successful contract awards. Their success has led to a sharp increase in turnover which currently stands, as a Group, at in excess of £140m. This Division has the aim to continue with their growth over the coming years. They have developed an excellent reputation for themselves in market sectors including: Education, Commercial, Leisure, Student Accommodation, Care Home & Industrial. They are an entirely relationship driven business and pride themselves on the fact that over 70% of their workload is negotiated with existing clients that they have built relationships with. The Project Manager Role This role could be suitable for an ambitious Senior Site Manager looking to progress to a more senior role, or an existing Project Manager looking for a more dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be expected to execute the designated projects to the agreed programme, in line with Health, Safety and Environmental standards expected by the client and company. The position will be initially managing a number of projects sited on two RAF bases. It is expected that the successful applicant will be capable of running multiple projects on a day to day basis, liaising with the site managers and with the assistance of a visiting Contracts Manager. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of projects with both construction and refurbishment elements from inception to completion, generally valued between £2million to £5million. Responsibilities include: Managing the projects on site Liaising the design team and any issues Managing the build program Managing the site team Managing all Health and Safety Working closely with all sub-contractors to ensure projects run on time Liaising on all levels to ensure effective communication is always maintained The ideal candidate will have previously managed sites within the construction and refurbishment sectors, experience of constructing education, commercial, leisure, hotel, student accommodation, care home and industrial schemes is beneficial. Strong IT, administrative, reporting and communication skills are required. As the Project Manager, you will be required to be a self-motivated individual who is autonomous in your role, whilst being able to drive site teams and subcontractors. It is essential that you hold SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, Asbestos Awareness and First Aid certificates. Remuneration: Dependent upon experience, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to earn up to £350 per day.
