Joining the Engineering team and reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Principal Design Analyst will be responsible for leading the architectural design and analysis on exciting development projects with customer facing responsibilities. This role combines theoretical expertise and hands on experience to deliver the project lifecycle from requirements analysis through to system deployment in challenging timeframes. Key Responsibilities: Capture, derive and manage the system requirement sets Propose, model (Simulink) and develop the system solutions for a high-performance electro-optic, stabilization and target tracking systems Analyse and derive subsystem requirements (sensors, image processing, motor performance, etc) Validate models through experimentation and subsystem prototyping Support electrical and software engineers in the implementation and optimization of system code and hardware design Review analysis reports and system Work with project managers to establish achievable project schedules, work packages and estimates.
