Experience of working in a healthcare setting would be desirable for this position.
You will be required to have or gain good knowledge of our patient administration system (Systm1) and should be proficient in all IT packages and their applications.
A good level of English and Maths is required with a proven track record of face-to-face or telephone customer service. A basic English and Maths test will be part of the interview process.
You must be a person that remains calm and helps people during difficult situations.
Salary: £11.44 per hour for candidates who are over 21. Salary for under 21 candidates is dependent on experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
2. Receive, assist, and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, and effective way.
3. Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team.
4. Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care, and other associated healthcare agencies.
5. Respect patients' confidentiality at all times.
