Southend Care Ltd is a successful Local Authority Trading company located within Southend on Sea that has been successfully trading since 2017, starting with the transfer of a number of local authority services, and has grown from there. We currently employ around 330 staff, approaching at £12 million turnover and support up to 1000 people a year.

Position Overview
A skilled and diverse board is key to our success, and we are now seeking a new chairperson to join the team and build on the achievements of the organisation. This is an exciting time to join the board, as in addition to the chairperson position, we are also seeking a new non-executive who will join the board alongside a new Senior Officer level board member from the City Council.

Minimum Requirements
Successful applicants should already be operating at board level and able to demonstrate a range of skills and experience including:
1. Values-based leadership
2. Ability to understand and interpret financial information
3. Commercial experience in business development
4. Governance and strategic growth
