Early Years Practitioner - Nursery Setting
We are working with a welcoming and well-established nursery that is seeking a passionate Early Years Practitioner to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated childcare professional to provide outstanding care and learning experiences for young children.
About the Role:
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will support the Lead Practitioner and Senior Staff in delivering high-quality early education, ensuring the children's happiness and development. You will play an active role in planning engaging activities, maintaining a stimulating learning environment, and supporting the team to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver fun, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate activities
2. Support the implementation of a structured daily routine to meet children's individual needs
3. Observe and track children's progress, contributing to their development records
4. Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment both indoors and outdoors
5. Work collaboratively with colleagues, providing support and guidance to less experienced team members
6. Be a positive role model, ensuring professional conduct at all times
7. Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety, and confidentiality policies are upheld
8. Build strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed and engaged
9. Attend team meetings, contribute ideas, and participate in ongoing professional development
What We're Looking For:
1. Level 3 Early Years Qualification (NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent)
2. Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
3. Passion for working with children and creating enriching learning experiences
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
5. Ability to reflect on practice and contribute to improvements
6. First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates (or willingness to obtain)
7. Reliable, caring, and enthusiastic approach to early education
