Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced part-time Clinician (22.5 hours per week) to join our dynamic Outreach Service. You will work as one of our two Cornwall-based Practitioners. The Outreach Service covers three Counties; Devon, Somerset and Cornwall working with admission vulnerable women in the perinatal period.
Main duties of the job:
* Holding a caseload of complex women who are admission vulnerable but also women who have been discharged from an MBU following a period of acute illness.
* Work alongside the rest of the perinatal pathway including Community Perinatal Mental Health Teams and the MBU itself.
* Complete complex assessments and offer clinical intervention in the community.
* Support and lead on safeguarding processes for the families you work with whilst also holding the baby in mind as a priority throughout your clinical work.
* Work closely with the families and partners of the women on your caseload.
* Engage in complex liaison with other services.
Person Specification:
Essential Skills:
* Excellent communication skills.
* Excellent clinical assessment skills.
* Supervisory skills.
* Ability to manage change positively.
* Ability to work flexibly.
Qualifications:
* A professional mental health nursing qualification e.g. RMN, Nursing Degree, Qualified Occupational Therapist or Social Worker with extensive mental health experience.
* Post graduate qualification relevant to specialism or commitment to work towards.
* Training to Level 3 Enhanced in Safeguarding Adults, Children and Young People: Roles and Competencies for Health Care Staff, or commitment to work towards.
