FM Conway is currently searching for an Apprentice Engineer to join our Structures division. As our Apprentice Engineer, you will work in a supported learning environment to develop the skills and knowledge required to complete your Level 4 or Level 6 qualification in Civil Engineering. You will work as part of the Structures team on various construction projects gaining knowledge and experience in a variety of areas within the industry. The role supports you with practical experience, educational learning and support attaining further professional certificates or memberships.
This is a full-time, permanent position, based at our Victoria offices.
The duties of the Apprentice Engineer Role will include:
-Pursuing your studies to gain the knowledge, skills, and behaviours of a Structural Engineer
-Attending internal training diligently and playing a lead role in your upskilling and development in the workplace
-Working as part of the engineering team taking instructions from senior engineers
-Working with the engineering team to deliver works required efficiently and to a safe standard
-Working with the engineering team to develop your skills on engineering software to a proficient standard (e.g. BridgeStation)
-Working with the engineering team to understand and complete regular activities, such as contract reporting, inspections, and administration
What skills and experience do you need?
We are looking for candidates who possess excellent relationship-building skills, are self-motivated, show initiative, and are resourceful. It is essential that you have a minimum of 48 UCAS points for the Level 4 entry requirements or a minimum of 96 UCAS points for the Level 6 entry requirements. The A-Levels need to include maths, and preferably a science (chemistry or physics).
