An exciting opportunity has arisen on the Renal Units at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for a healthcare assistant to join our friendly and dynamic nursing team. The Renal Unit is a busy outpatient area for patients with kidney failure. Patients come in for treatment at least three times a week for 4 hours treatment on a dialysis machine. We are looking for people who are caring and compassionate and who have strong communication and observation skills, to deliver excellent patient-focused care in a challenging fast paced environment. This job is currently a Band 2 but has been rebanded as a Band 3 post pending final approval. You will assist staff in the preparation of the dialysis areas and in the disposal of dialysis consumables and waste. You will be working in a stimulating and supportive working environment with opportunities for further learning and development. Keeping the unit as clean as possible.
