This is a fantastic opportunity to join the major cross government Unity Programme which will bring together Shared Services for His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC), Department for Transport (DFT) and Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).
The programme aims to deliver the tools in Human Resources (HR), Finance, Payroll, and Procurement to enable the user to complete administration tasks quickly and with minimal effort by modernising our IT Platform, bringing together our shared services teams, standardising our data and cutting through processes that cost our departments time and money.
Job Description
Organisational Design and Workforce support is an exciting role in the Organisation Design (OD) and Workforce Team within the Unity Programme. We are a supportive and welcoming team. We enjoy working with great colleagues across the programme and beyond to deliver organisation design and development projects which make a real difference.
We’re more interested in your skills than what area of work you’re currently in – be that HR, Operational Delivery, Change or Transformation. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work with data and insights, engage stakeholders and maintain plans. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to help shape the future world of how we work and to develop an expertise in Organisation Design and Development.
The OD and Workforce Team works collaboratively throughout, and the role will involve collaboration with subject matter experts across the wider programme. The role will also involve travel to locations around the UK to work with programme teams, departments, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Supporting the Organisational Design and Workforce team to schedule, monitor and manage OD and Workforce activity.
* Analysis of data to influence the Organisation Design and Workforce Transition.
* Preparing documentation for stakeholder meetings.
* Stakeholder Management - Manage professional relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Criteria
* Strong planning skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities, whilst maintaining quality and timely.
* Experience of working in a fast-paced project/ programme environment.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop sophisticated analysis of organisational data.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, with particular expertise in Excel & PowerPoint.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships, to engage confidently and work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders and colleagues to generate common focus.
* Self-motivated, ability to work at pace and under pressure, whilst maintaining performance.
Desirable Criteria
* Knowledge of HR, Finance and Procurement processes.
* Experience of Shared Service Transformations and / or SAP Success Factors.
* CIPD qualified, or willing to work towards associate level qualification.
