The Specialist Mental Health Learning Disability Service is an exciting new team that will transform the support mechanisms for children and young people with a learning disability. The new service will be based at Erlegh House which is situated on the Reading University campus.
Main duties of the job
1. The postholder will support the effective operation of Specialist Mental Health Learning Disability Service by providing organisational, administrative and secretarial support to the Consultant Psychiatrist, Principal Clinical Psychologist and the team.
2. The postholder is expected to act on their own initiative on a daily basis to ensure the effective running of the service, prioritising their own workload as required.
3. They will liaise effectively and professionally with all levels of staff, external organisations and the public, dealing with confidential information in an appropriate manner.

17. NVQ4 or equivalent qualification/experience
18. ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) or equivalent knowledge and experience of using a variety of software programmes/packages - Ms Word / Ms Excel / Ms Outlook.
