An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for City of Doncaster Council. This is a temporary Social Worker role for the MASH Team.
In this role you will benefit from an hourly rate of £35 per hour umbrella, whilst having the opportunity to work in a professional and vibrant environment.
Responsibilities
1. Undertaking Initial Assessments under Section 17 of the Children's Act of 1989
2. Undertaking Core Assessments and Child Protection Enquiries under Section 47 of the Children's Act of 1989
3. Undertaking Pre-Birth Assessments under Section 47 of the Children's Act of 1989
4. Undertaking Age Assessments
5. Providing Section 17 support to families and children in need
6. Carrying out home visits for monitoring purposes to promote the welfare of and to safeguard the children
7. Liaising/Working closely with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children/young people's needs
8. Producing Initial Child Protection Conference reports
9. Convening and chairing Core Group Meetings
10. Initiating and implementing Child Protection Plans
11. Initiating and completing Care Proceedings
12. Applying for and obtaining Emergency Protection Orders
13. Preparing and presenting case conference reports
For this position you will need to hold a recognised social work qualification and be SWE registered, as well as have sufficient post qualification experience.
