Randstad are partnered with the Empower Learning Academy Trust and are currently looking for aspiring Teaching Assistants for Bower Park Academy in Romford to start as soon as possible. This is your chance to work with an outstanding team, gather new experiences and kick start your career in education. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of some of the additional needs children may have, and will be willing to learn new things.
About the school:
Bower Park Academy is a "Good" school in Romford. They are an average sized secondary school and their SEN department is well organised, welcoming and headed by an experienced and supportive SENCO. The school has onsite parking as well as excellent local transport links.
Responsibilities:

1. Support KS3 and KS4 students who have additional educational needs
2. Manage behaviour in the classroom
3. Work closely with the whole SEN department to provide support for all students
4. Provide intervention sessions
5. Support students learning outside of the classroom by providing 1:1 and group support
To be successful you will have:
6. Experience working with children
7. Passion to work with children and pursue as a career
8. Be reliable and flexible
9. Be able to provide two recent satisfactory references
10. An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one (we will support with the application)
