POSITION: Science Technician
TYPE: Support Staff
HOURS: 35 hours per week (38 weeks per year – term time plus inset days)
8.20am – 3.50pm Monday to Friday

CONTRACT: Part time, permanent
GRADE: Range 2 (ISN 11 – 15)
PAY: FTE £24,879 - £26,961 / Pro rata £19,460 - £21,089 ( job share pro rata value can be provided on request)
Will increase in April pay review
START DATE: As soon as possible
An opportunity has arisen for a Science Technician to support a large and highly successful Science Faculty. You will join our experienced team of 18 teaching and support staff and will play a key role in assisting with lesson preparation and administrative support.
Scientific and chemical knowledge, at least to GCSE is essential. Ideally you will have prior experience working in a technical science support role and/or with young people. Ideally, we would like the successful candidate to have a working knowledge of the Key Stage 3-5 curriculum.
