Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Role Overview:
The Service Engineer will provide technical support and field service as necessary to support plant installation, commissioning, equipment maintenance, repair, rebuild, troubleshooting, operator training and warranty commitments.
The position will be based in the local country but assignments will be worldwide.
Role Responsibilities:
1. To oversee installation of water treatment plant and intake equipment.
2. Commissioning and/or supervise the commissioning of water treatment plants and intake equipment.
3. Undertake refurbishment contracts on customer’s sites.
4. Completion of Commissioning documents and Site Acceptance Testing.
5. Plant troubleshooting to improve plant performance and advance product developments.
6. Undertake service visits and preparing service reports.
7. Carry out site inspections and site supervision.
8. Carry out pre and post commissioning surveys and subsequent reporting as required.
9. Preparation of Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
10. Snagging and fault-finding.
11. Implementing, operating and working under a permit to work system.
12. Compliance of the valid safety regulations on site.
13. Prepare and advise on the preparation of Installation, Operation and Maintenance manuals.
14. Be prepared to work away from home, both in Europe and overseas
15. Implementation of QM / OHSAS - requirements.
Education:
16. Engineering degree or equivalent – Mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering preferred,
Required Skills:
17. Experienced in installation, refurbishment and commissioning (preferably both mechanical and electrical disciplines) within the water processing industry preferred, or suitably qualified in another industry and willing to learn.
18. Experience of Site Work required
19. Computer literate (MS Office).
20. A full UK or EEC driving license.
Working Hours:
21. Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week
22. 0800 - 1700
This role involves frequent travel through the local region with occasional overseas travel.
