Your new company
You will be working for a multinational manufacturing and distribution business based in the Coventry area. They are looking for a Transport Planner to come on board and help drive and optimise the planning and customer service division.
Your new role
The role involves ensuring Health & Safety within the Customer Service Centre, managing and allocating deliveries, and optimising fleet operations. Key tasks include effective communication with plants, hauliers, and Customer Service Representatives, monitoring and adjusting plans, and adhering to Working Time Directive and EU Drivers' Hours legislation. Additional responsibilities include managing order renegotiations, returned orders, capacity planning, process improvements, and future plant and truck availability. The role also requires timely administrative task completion, daily coordination with the team leader, and building strong relationships with stakeholders to promptly address customer needs and concerns.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate should have previous transport planning experience, including working with Transport Management systems, and possess good geographical and road network knowledge. They must demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills, along with a commitment to providing the best possible customer experience. Experience with SAP modules is desirable.
What you'll get in return
