CMA is currently working with an organisation near Southampton who operate within the educational sector and are looking to appoint a Finance Manager to oversee and manage the financial control of the accounting function including their trading subsidiary. This is a really exciting opportunity as the organisation goes through an exciting transitional phase.
What will the Finance Manager role involve?
* Effectively lead, develop and manage the department staff.
* To be responsible for all financial and management accounting across both the charity and trading subsidiary.
* Assist the appointed auditors with the annual audit and preparation of the statutory accounts.
* Responsibility for the reconciliation of all bank accounts, and upkeep of the Fixed Asset Register.
* Process the monthly payroll and associated statutory reporting.
* Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and support budget holders with the financials.
* Management of the payables and receivables function.
Suitable Candidate for the Finance Manager:
* Qualified by experience, AAT qualified or ACCA or CIMA studier.
* Experience within an SME organisation managing the finance function in its entirety from the day to day transactions through to the production of the management and financial accounts.
* A strong communicator with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders.
