Media Support Worker
Contract: Permanent; 35 hours per week; 09:00 – 17:00; Monday to Friday; with some travel and work on location outside of those days and hours, with advance notice

As a Media Support Worker, you will provide essential support to an Early Careers Apprentice in the Technology Group, helping them navigate their role and responsibilities. Your work will involve facilitating communication, providing administrative support, and assisting with technical tasks, all in accordance with the individual’s specific instructions. From managing emails and form filling to supporting risk assessments and ensuring safe working practices, you’ll play a key role in helping this apprentice thrive in their position. Main Objectives
The post holder will provide workplace support (facilitation) for a disabled member of staff according to the Support Worker Record of Tasks (details below). The individual being supported is neurodivergent. They work as an Early Careers Apprentice in the Technology Group and all support work is done to their instruction.
The post holder should be proficient at using standard software packages (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.). They must also be able to develop a working knowledge of other specialist apps or technical equipment with training or instruction. A high standard of written and spoken English, and good typing skills is essential.
The post holder will also be required to complete routine administrative tasks, including accurately recording details of their working hours, to ensure KPIs are met and our financial reporting is accurate.
A current PVG certificate will be required.
Specific Duties
Broadcast support: To support the individual’s understanding of the instructions for their work tasks and communicate these to the individual.
Admin support: To support the individual with emails and form filling, and with understanding company policies and benefits.
In technical areas: To support the individual in following safe working practices, doing risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and implementing control measures.
Ad hoc: To support the individual’s understanding of general tasks and instructions. To support the individual with unfamiliar travel.
