My client is recruiting for an experienced Court of Protection Paralegal to join their office in Bournemouth, Dorset.
You will be joining during an exciting time as we continue to grow and deliver excellent service to their clients.
You will be expected to deliver the highest possible legal and service standards. You will be expected to maximise profit for the company, to build relationships with clients and to encourage the referral of further business to the firm.
Previous experience of using a case management system would be advantageous and good communication skills and the ability to use own initiative are a must.
Essential Qualities

Your role will include the following, but additional tasks may be added as appropriate for the role:

* To assist in the provision of administrative and legal services for clients.
* To assist where requested the provision of legal advice to clients, under supervision.
* Take notes in client meetings.
* Attend clients at hospitals, care homes and in their home.
* Delegate and supervise tasks where appropriate.
* Work as a part of a team under the supervision of a Director of the firm.
* May also receive cases from several Directors and solicitors within the team.
* Provide an efficient and friendly service to our clients.
* Produce plain English letters, witness statements, court applications and other documents as required.
* Make regular payments to clients and keep accurate schedules of these payments. Also forecast forward spending and creating of budgets.
* Day to day contact with clients and their individual lifestyle requirements.
* Manage professionally and confidentially, written and telephone correspondence with clients, other solicitors and third parties
* Maintain client care standards as set out in the firm’s terms of business and office manual.
* Continue to develop your legal ability.
Person Specification
* A paralegal with experience in Court of Protection.
* Able to motivate oneself to meet/exceed targets.
* Flexible and proactive approach with ‘can do’ attitude.
* Works well under pressure.
* Able to work to tight deadlines.
* Able to build relationship with clients and to encourage referral of further business to the firm.
* Able to meet time recording and billing targets.
