We are recruiting on behalf of our Ludlow based client who require a Sales Administrator to join their busy office on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will have strong customer service skills, ideally with administration experience, although candidates with a retail or hospitality background will be considered.
We are seeking candidates who can adapt and be flexible as the demands of the role change depending on business requirements.
What you can expect with this role:
1. Salary: circa £26k per annum, depending on experience
2. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5pm with 30 minutes for lunch
3. One day per week covering 8am - 6pm, with an earlier finish on another day to total 40 hours per week
What you will be doing:
1. Work alongside colleagues in the sales team providing quotations and pricing information to customers
2. Processing customers' orders from the company website and transposing into the ERP system
3. Assisting customers with website ordering
4. Handling incoming calls and webchats for the sales department
5. Converting warm sales opportunities to confirmed sales
6. Maintain customer databases and update regularly
7. Compile sales order pack requests for customers ready to be emailed
8. Compile relevant weekly and monthly reports for the sales manager
9. Liaising with customers and suppliers
What we are looking for:
1. IT literate with experience of databases and MS Office
2. Administration experience would be advantageous with working knowledge of reactive sales process e.g. webchats and online enquiries
3. Good telephone manner
4. Must be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service
5. Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
6. Able to work to strict deadlines
7. Must be standards driven and detail-oriented
8. A committed team player
