Mechanical Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical systems and machinery used in food production, including mixers, pumps, motors, conveyors, and more. Electrical Maintenance : Assist in maintaining and repairing electrical systems, including control panels, motors, and wiring. Labelling & Sealing Machines: Ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of labelling and sealing machines used in meal packaging, troubleshooting issues and carrying out necessary repairs. Industrial Kitchen Equipment : Maintain and repair industrial kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, and cooking appliances, ensuring they run efficiently and meet health and safety standards. Preventative Maintenance : Conduct preventative maintenance on all relevant machinery to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production. Repairs & Upgrades: Carry out repairs and installations for both mechanical and electrical systems to support production activities. Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict health and safety protocols when working on equipment and machinery, ensuring safe operation within the production area. Reporting: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, faults, repairs, and equipment status. Collaboration : Work closely with other engineering and production staff to troubleshoot problems and contribute to the smooth running of daily operations. About you Apprentice Trained : Relevant qualifications in electrical and/or mechanical engineering (e.g., Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds). Basic Fault-Finding Experience : Practical experience in identifying and addressing mechanical and electrical faults. Mechanical & Electrical Systems Knowledge : Understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems, including industrial kitchen equipment and production machinery. Hands-On Maintenance : Comfortable with hands-on maintenance and repair tasks. Labelling & Sealing Machines : Experience or the ability to work with labelling and sealing machinery is highly desirable. Problem-Solving : Ability to diagnose issues efficiently and implement quick solutions. Attention to Detail: High standard of work with a focus on quality and precision. Team-Oriented : Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members in a busy environment.
