Job overview
An exciting opportunity has become available to work within a friendly and proactive team in delivering effective and evidence-based care to patients with leg ulceration and venous issues and to work as part of the Lower Limb Specialist collaborative.
As a band 5 leg ulcer nurse, you will also support the treatment room service that works closely with the leg ulcer service.
Main duties of the job
1. Patient facing care either within the clinic setting or the patients' own home environment.
2. To undertake non-complex initial assessment of patients with leg ulceration and varicose veins.
3. To undertake reviews of patients as directed by the senior leg ulcer nurse.
4. To develop plans of care and liaise with colleagues within the treatment room service, district nursing and community health teams, GPs, and other specialist services.

* Driving licence and access to a car
* Leg Ulcer management qualification or willingness to undertake
* NMP V100/V150 qualification or willingness to undertake
* Community Nursing experience
* Experience of mentoring Student nurses
