We are currently seeking a Safety Integration Lead, reporting to the Integration Team Bristol Safety Manager (ITBS). The role will lead activities related to integrating safety requirements into the HPC (Hinkley Point C) design within the scope of ITBS. Key Responsibilities Training & Support: Provide training to ITBS staff on using configuration tools (UKDC/IDT/OPM). Configuration Management: Oversee all configuration items, ensuring processes are followed. Drive design maturity and stability, challenge the technical impact of open points and design changes. Project Objectives: Ensure ITBS meets project configuration objectives by managing team performance and interfacing with key stakeholders. Reporting: Report progress against project objectives to the ITBS Manager and HPC Technical Director at Control Tower and ITBS Management meetings. Escalate issues when necessary. Open Point Coordination: Act as Level 2 Open Point Coordinator for ITBS scope. Attend coordination meetings and validate the status of Level 2 OPs in OPM. Design Change Management: Facilitate UKDC process implementation for ITBS, validate design change contributions, and ensure maturity of impact analyses. Interface Management: Serve as the Entity Interface Manager, manage ITBS interfaces, and attend Strategic Interface Committee meetings. Safety & Environmental Assessments: Support the ITBS team in performing safety categorization and environmental assessments. Database Management: Manage the safety contributions to required databases (e.g., TAGS1D) following data management processes and objectives. Integration: Ensure the integration of safety requirements into the design and manage interfaces with civil, systems, contracts, etc. Qualifications Education: Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant subject (ideally Chartered or working towards). Leadership: Strong leadership skills to coordinate and resolve technical topics with multidisciplinary teams. Experience: Robust knowledge of EPR design and engineering processes, with experience in safety integration. Legal & Industry Standards: Good understanding of UK laws, regulations, and nuclear industry best practices. Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication, organizational, and people engagement skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Performance Management: Ability to set objectives, drive team performance, and report progress to senior stakeholders.
