Project Manager - Reactive Works
Location: Sheffield plus site travel.

Summary
A Tier One Principal Contractor, operating throughout England and Wales, delivering multi-disciplinary buildings and civil engineering projects for Network Rail and other infrastructure clients is looking for a Project Manager to support a growing portfolio of works on the Eastern framework, liaise with clients and represent the business at client deliverability meetings.
Candidate Specification
* Operational management experience of reactive buildings asset maintenance framework with schemes typically between - £1k to £100k
* Civil Engineering Construction work (at least 5 years) with strong knowledge of CDM
* In depth knowledge of working within a railway environment
* Ability to lead and develop the operational reactive delivery team
* HNC / NVQ6/7 in Construction minimum or suitably qualified by experience
* Railway Safety Training - PTS or willingness to obtain
Work Stream:
You will join a team dedicated to rail buildings maintenance and asset management that handles maintenance projects, both reactive and planned. The business unit's primary focus is on maintaining and repairing rail assets under a long-term framework agreement, which includes:
* Stations - Buildings, Platforms, Car Parks
* Line side buildings
* Maintenance Delivery Units
* Signal Boxes
* Ancillaries
Responsibilities
* Management of Network Rail (client) and rail related infrastructure contracts to requisite performance criteria, ensuring stringent KPIs are met in line with client expectations (estimate submissions, delivery timescales, risk scores, completion packs etc)
* Liaise with Client personnel and delivery team to ensure the day-to-day reactive work bank is planned and resourced in line with first principle allowances and driven by required turnover targets - ensuring effective deployment of all personnel across the Framework
* Liaise with Works Delivery Managers (WDM's) and commercial team to review estimate submissions and final account details
* Provide technical support, guidance and practical advice to WDMs on the Framework to ensure competent execution of required day to day work bank from both a permanent work and temporary works perspective
* Manage the WDMs to ensure the site teams are complying to requirements of site returns, commercial reporting, quality and safety etc
* Ensure the management and maintenance of the client database
* Prepare and implement Site specific management plans to ensure Site activities comply with Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies
* Prepare and implement site documentation and contract plans to conform, as a minimum, to the Client's requirement and specification.
* Lead and implement professional safety behaviour and culture throughout the business, promoting positive change in everyday activities
* Any other duties as may reasonably be required
