Hybrid: 60% Office
Hourly rate: £17.60
Working Days/Hours: 37 hrs per week 9am-5pm
Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an Executive Assistant.
Experience Needed/Desired:
* Excellent organisational and communication skills and a highly collaborative team player.
* Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with a diverse range of stakeholders or customers.
* Ability to respond flexibly to the wider pressures facing the senior team and colleagues, understanding the urgency and importance of discretion and confidentiality.
* A highly proactive and positive attitude with the initiative to resolve problems and complete tasks in difficult circumstances.
* High level of IT literacy.
* Experience in providing executive support to senior executives in a similar environment.
As an Executive Assistant, you will need excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. You will show good judgement, establish and maintain a cross Home Office network of colleagues, and be able to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities of this position will be wide-ranging and require you to be collaborative, flexible, and prepared to take on a variety of challenging tasks. You will be expected to show initiative and tenacity to achieve results whilst keeping senior leaders and stakeholders comprehensively informed of progress.
The team work together delivering a quality service to the senior leaders, and the responsibilities are listed below:
* Supporting multiple members of the SLT, as required, including:
* Diary and inbox management.
* Delegating tasks appropriately to senior leaders.
* Preparing and distributing agendas and papers for key meetings.
* Administrative logistics, for example, travel bookings, escorting visitors, and archiving documentation.
* Supporting the onboarding of new starters.
* Secretariat support for the ESMCP Governance Boards and other meetings.
* Build and maintain good working relationships with opposite numbers across government to ensure directors are appropriately briefed.
* Research guidance and instructions to inform senior leaders of correct processes to follow.
Training:
2-week training period, consisting of online training course & mentoring.
Please note that no annual leave will be permitted during the 2 weeks of training.
Clearance level (to be applied for by Brook Street upon a successful application):
Basic DBS + SC (Security Clearance)
Role specific requirements:
You must hold a valid passport and must have lived in the UK for longer than 5 years. Please note that a period of 6 months or longer spent outside of the UK in the last 5 years will unfortunately not be accepted. This role requires security clearance that will be processed for you, if successful.
