This is a hands-on, visible role where you’ll lead an established team, drive performance, and work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver a first-class payments function. To be successful, you’ll need recent hands-on experience leading a payments function, with a solid grasp of day-to-day operations, team management, and the ability to shape and deliver strategy in a changing environment.

* Leading and evolving the payments strategy to make sure it’s resilient, efficient and fit for the future
* Managing a great team and making sure they’re supported, developed and performing at their best
* Owning supplier relationships, working closely on contracts, renewals and performance
* Playing a key role in the wider transformation work already underway across the business
* Spotting risks and putting the right controls in place to keep things running smoothly
* Creating a culture of continuous improvement with better processes, better service and better outcomes
And have experience in…
* Leading a payments function in a financial services company
* Managing people, running day-to-day operations and setting the longer-term strategy
* Strong vendor management experience with contract negotiation and oversight
* A clear track record of representing payments in transformation programmes
* A people-focused leader who enjoys getting stuck in, making things better and developing others
