This full-time, ongoing position is available for an immediate start.
In this role, you will work both one-on-one and in groups with SEN pupils, providing exceptional support to students in KS1 and KS2. You will play a key role in classroom assistance, behavior management, and ensuring a positive learning environment.
Role:
- Location: Southampton
- Position: KS1/KS2 Teaching Assistant
- Type of Work: Full-Time
- Contract: Long-Term
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Ongoing
- Minimum Rate of Pay: £70 per day
- Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Providing classroom support, including activities, organization, engagement, behavior, and emotional support
- Working with children on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
- Supporting therapy sessions
- Supervising during break and lunch times
- Maintaining progress reports
Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
- Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential)
- Previous experience working in a UK school
- Experience working with children in education or a similar setting
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but we can provide training)
Eligibility Requirements:
- Right to Work in the UK
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application
- Two professional references
