Role Overview
The engineering department at our Chesterfield site requires a dedicated engineering planner to build and communicate weekly and monthly maintenance schedules to assist in the completion of planned maintenance activities, ad-hoc repairs, and statutory inspections.
Main Duties Include:
1. Use of the CMMs system to prioritize work requests and ensure all work is planned effectively.
2. Issue work orders to the teams and monitor completion and progress against tasks.
3. Producing weekly plans in advance for engineering resource at Chesterfield.
4. Planning all work and resources on a day-to-day basis and for planned maintenance outages.
5. Work closely with the mechanical and electrical engineering managers to ensure all engineering tasks are carried out safely with permits to work, LOTO procedures, risk assessments, and SOPS are being followed at all times and developed where necessary.
6. Ensure that parts and services are purchased economically and available for planned work activities.
7. Use SAP system to ensure that critical spares are always held in stock.
8. Support the engineering team to build programs of work into engineering shut plans.
9. Have an active involvement in maintenance activities at the mill.
10. Supervise contract resource to execute the engineering plan to achieve shut down timings and mill availability.
About the Role

We are looking for a permanent engineering planner to join our engineering team. This is a days-based role working 7am - 3.30pm Monday to Wednesday and 7am - 3pm Thursday - Friday. This role offers varied tasks and the chance to support the electrical and mechanical engineering teams.

Essential Skills
The following are essential for this role:
1. Completed a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship preferably with a City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ qualification.
2. Highly proficient with CMMS and SAP systems.
3. Experience in mechanical maintenance engineering.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Project or Excel.
5. Proven experience in maintaining complex automated manufacturing equipment.
