Barker Ross is hiring an experienced team leader for the Manufacturing Assembly Operative position in Falkirk.
This is a physical role focused on building steel frames, requiring practical skills and experience using a range of tools.
This is a long-term, full-time position with the potential to become permanent.
Pay:
£15.00 per hour
Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
Friday: 7:30 am - 2:00 pm
1-hour break
Overtime available
Duties:
1. Hands-on assembly of steel frames and components
2. Working as part of a team on the production line (up to 7 operatives, including a working chargehand)
3. Using various power tools, including battery-operated tools, to assemble steel frames
4. Reading and interpreting technical plans
5. Accurately measuring materials using a tape measure
6. Physically handling and moving products (6-12kg), either individually or with assistance
7. Maintaining high standards of housekeeping
Experience:
Experience in team lead is essential, or vast experience in manufacturing assembly.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
2. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical, and hands-on role
3. Self-motivated, reliable, with good timekeeping and attendance
4. Positive attitude with flexibility and adaptability
5. Physically fit with no underlying musculoskeletal issues
