About Your Team
Brokerage Operations, as part of the Brokerage Hub, is responsible for asset servicing and administration of Brokerage holdings on Fidelity’s Retail Investment Platform. Responsibilities are split into five areas:
1. Trade Operations for trade & settlement
2. Corporate Actions for corporate events and dividends
3. Stock Deposits for the transfer of certificated holdings
4. Stock Plan Services (SPS) for related activities and processing
5. Controls for oversight of regulatory reporting and other controls across the team
Within the Hub, the Brokerage Transformation & Change Team is responsible for the delivery of our Change agenda within GPI&A and works closely with colleagues across Operations, Technology, Business Change, Product, and Propositions to support various initiatives.
About Your Role
This role covers a wide range of responsibilities including:
1. Working within project scrums for Technology, Intelligent Automation, and Business Process Improvement projects
2. Completing testing, SME input, and feedback for your areas of responsibility
3. Decision making regarding change and escalation & reporting to the Process Ownership layer and Senior Management
This challenging and hands-on role would suit an individual looking for a varied role while gaining experience across GPI&A Operations, PTSS, and Technology.
Key Responsibilities & Qualities
Support projects/enhancements/process improvements & regulatory changes. Some current and future initiatives include:
1. SPS (Stock Plan Services) journeys
2. IPO & Placings
3. Product backlog monitoring and handling
Responsibilities include:
1. Gathering requirements & creating scripts, executing testing in various environments, raising and resolving defects
2. Working closely with teams to ensure smooth delivery of changes
3. Ensuring appropriate escalation of issues to management
4. Managing workload effectively in a virtual environment
5. Demonstrating strong communication skills and attention to detail
About You
Required qualifications include:
1. Experience within an Operations or Customer Service background ideally with Change experience
2. Brokerage knowledge is preferred
3. Experience of creating test scripts and performing regression/project testing
4. Understanding of change and testing processes (scrums/JIRA/confluence)
5. Effective written and verbal communication skills
6. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
7. Proficient in Sonata, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Confluence, and JIRA
