About the Role
The Site Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. As part of the Surge Group team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities on site, managing subcontractors, and supporting the Project Manager in maintaining quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise site activities and manage subcontractors and direct labor effectively.
* Ensure all work is completed to the specified quality standards and meets the project schedule.
* Monitor material deliveries and optimize site logistics to minimize delays.
* Collaborate with the Project Manager to establish and maintain accurate project schedules.
Health, Safety & Compliance
* Verify that all site activities adhere to established health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
* Review and enforce RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements) on-site to mitigate risks.
* Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.
* Support compliance with CDM regulations and company policies.
Communication & Reporting
* Liaise with the Project Manager to report on project progress, issues, and variations in a timely manner.
* Maintain open communication with clients and other stakeholders to ensure transparency and satisfaction.
* Maintain accurate site records and contribute to monthly progress reports.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* HNC or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
* A minimum of 1+ years' experience in site supervision or construction roles (MEICA experience is advantageous).
* Familiarity with NEC contract conditions is desirable.
