Business Development Manager £40-50K basic salary with £100K uncapped OTE Content With Purpose (certified B-Corps) is seeking a new business sales expert to join our team and work on a hybrid basis alongside our Founder and Managing Director from our Tring office in Hertfordshire. With an exceptional pre-sales team scheduling video calls in advance, the BDM will be responsible for delivering multiple video presentations each week, helping to screen and secure purpose-led organisations to feature as Content Partners in our award-winning video series. This role will suit a B2B sales professional with a good working knowledge of sustainable development issues, global challenges and current affairs, who can deliver video presentations to c-suite decision makers both confidently and consistently. Example content ‘Leading the Way to a World Beyond Waste’ is a digital series that CWP produced in collaboration with CIWM (the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management) and which launched in September 2023. It explores the essential role of the resources and waste management sector in advancing circularity and protecting the world’s environment and resources for future generations. You can navigate through some of the content produced for this project here: https://worldbeyondwaste.ciwm.co.uk/ About the role – Business Development Manager The BDM will be responsible for delivering video presentations, helping to screen and secure purpose-led organisations to feature as Content Partners in our award-winning video series. Each call lasts for up to one hour, and you’ll be speaking with CEOs, Marketing Directors, academics, government leaders, sustainability professionals and other senior decision makers. Key responsibilities: Deliver several video presentations per day – securing Content Partners for each of our digital series (all meetings pre-scheduled by our series development team) Contribute towards thorough industry-analysis and research activity to identify potential Content Partners for each project Industry research, insights, general learning for each project Knowledge sharing with our creative and editorial team to inform all aspects of our digital series Continuous input and development on our research and sales process Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless, efficient working and excellent customer service Help to shape and develop the Company as we grow into new segments and territories Support and deliver CWP’s better business, environmental and social justice aims. Experience, skills, and interests: Experience: Proven business development (new business) sales experience with an impressive track record of delivering results, including; industry research, presenting to c-suite and closing deals (ideally in content, storytelling, media sales or service based sales) Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Good working knowledge of current affairs, sustainable development issues and global challenges spanning the public and private sector. Skills: Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Able to communicate with credibility and gravitas High levels of EQ; perceptive, adaptable, articulate Ability to research, analyse and grasp different market sectors quickly and accurately The ability to articulate stories, narratives and concepts effectively A self-starter with a ‘can-do’ attitude High level of attention to detail Ability to deal with pressure Self-motivated, ambitious, target-driven Proactive, positive, enthusiastic High levels of integrity and professionalism A good sense of humour Why should you join CWP?
