A vacancy has arisen for an exceptional individual to take full responsibility for our new facility, housing a best-in-class 5-axis CNC mill turn machine. This prestigious facility needs the ultimate care and attention and will reward with micron accuracy parts. Your inherent nature will be accustomed to establishing and delivering excellence in a total quality CNC machining environment, with a hands-on problem-solving nature, can-do attitude, being responsible for presenting and promoting a total quality environment. The successful candidate will have a proven ability and lead by example attitude in delivering excellence and maximising profitability from such a new facility.
Role Responsibilities:
* To develop, maintain and promote, a class leading CNC machining facility and team.
* Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of the facility to maximise quality, profitability, safety standards and regulatory compliance.
* Have skills and knowledge of the process to set the standard for others to follow.
* Be responsible for continuous improvement of all aspects of the facility.
* Monitor and report performance, forward plan and drive preventative maintenance.
* To ensure that the team, equipment, systems, consumables, processes, tooling and fixtures are optimised to ease the production of total quality parts.
* Realise profitable own brand and sub-con parts, on-time, on-quality.
* Promote and secure sub-contact work to fulfil agreed capacity and price metrics.
* Understand, support and guide the development of FeTu make to order parts.
* Manage raw materials and stock levels and ERP ratification.
* Costing and quotation of sub-contract parts and primary point of contact.
Typical day: (all are of critical and equal importance)
1. To ensure the team and needs are being met and fully committed and integrated with and exceeding the FeTu core business objectives, reporting to the CEO.
2. Sub-contract: To ensure there is demand beyond our ability to supply such and the customers consider us as their very best supplier.
3. That all stakeholders (internal and external) consider their work, processes and schedules to be well organised, well understood and abundantly communicated.
4. That the process flow, forward planning, structure and organisation of workflow is at its utmost, with pro-action to minimise bottlenecks.
5. Inclusivity and ownership: That all parties (including you) feel important and integral to the business and that their rights, needs and expectations are consistently met/exceeded within a safe, structured, and well-regulated environment.

Attributes Required:
* A leader by example, with five years minimum experience of being responsible for delivering excellence in a best-in-class CNC machining environment.
* Inherent knowledge and ability to CNC program (CAM) from CAD model (GibbsCAM experience a benefit).
* Design and create fixtures and jigs for optimal work holding.
* Be familiar with inventory control and optimal tooling selection.
* Optimal development of operations, processes and cutting protocols.
* Data driven manufacture: familiar with in-cycle probing and inspection.
* Confident and competent in creating and presenting a class leading facility to a prestigious client base.
SALARY: £75k (DOE) + uncapped PRP
22 days holiday per annum rising to 27 days + bank holidays.
