Children’s Residential Home Registered Manager Southwell, Nottinghamshire Ongoing Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm, 37 hrs/week (also offer enhanced pay for weekend, evening and Bank Holiday working and a payment for on calls) Our client are seeking a Registered Manager to join a home for children with disabilities based in Nottingham. Manage a home that provides both short breaks and full-time residential care for Children with physical disabilities, associated learning difficulties and sensory and health needs. Offer the highest standards of physical and emotional care, consistent with the child's routine. Take a 'children first' approach and treating each child as an individual with specific needs. Work in partnership with children, their parent/carers, health, and other disciplines, to provide a service that is appropriate to children and responsive to their needs. Ensure to provide a safe, healthy, and relaxed environment which enables them to reach their full potential. Empower children by offering choices whenever possible and by giving opportunities to experiment and encourage independence. Treat each child with respect, taking into consideration race, gender, culture, religion, and sexual orientation. Involve children and their families and/or carers in the decisions that affect their lives. Treat parents/carers with respect, having awareness of their position, and applying a non-judgemental approach. Staff will perform health procedures, intimate and personal care and moving and handling tasks which they receive training for and are competency assessed by health professionals. Prioritise and allocate work within the team. Provide good quality and timely support and supervision for team members. Ensure performance review development are carried out. Ensure that documentation, record keeping, accounting, and communication is maintained within the team. Ensure the health and safety of staff and individuals, and the safety of equipment and operations within the team. Respond to and ensure appropriate action is taken following internal and external inspections, audits, complaints and investigations. Requirements Must have 5 years’ experience of working with children and young people in a managerial capacity within a residential setting and a minimum of 2 years working with children with disabilities Detailed knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Safeguarding frameworks Inspirational, experienced leader who has the right skills, values, and knowledge to develop and lead a staff team to ensure the needs of the children are met Motivated, ambitious, caring and committed Enhanced DBS registered to the update service Recruitment is done in line with safe recruitment practices. 4Recruitment Services in an equal opportunities employer.
