Are you passionate about quality and excellence in engineering? We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to conduct regular assessments and assurance audits across all internal processes, from steelwork fabrication and welding to painting and dispatch. This critical role offers the authority to reject products and materials that do not meet strict quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect fabrication work, welding, and painting on the shop floor, with sign-off and rejection authority.
* Conduct Root Cause Analysis to drive continuous improvement.
* Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance.
* Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and verify final products against given specifications.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Strong background in fabrication, welding, and painting inspections .
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to quality management.
* Effective communication skills at all levels within a business.
* IT proficiency and ability to maintain documentation and traceability.
* Time management, teamwork, and a strong work ethic .
* Experience in conflict resolution and ensuring compliance.
* Experience in steelwork and welding (hands-on or inspection).
* Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies .
* Financial awareness (CapEx / OpEx) and customer-facing experience.
* Ability to deputise for the Quality Manager when required.
