This is a key role at the MRC Toxicology Unit responsible for the management of the Advanced Light Imaging Facility to support the Unit's research.
The role includes managing the laboratory budget, equipment and consumables and the flow of work requests to ensure timely delivery of materials and samples to end users. You will provide expert technical support to research staff and be responsible for delivering highly specialist training and technical advice on experimental design/specification.
You will need to have experience of lab management and advanced light microscopy, including sample preparation and immunocytochemistry. A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline is essential. A PhD would be an advantage.
