Job Description
We are recruiting Swimming Pool Technical Officers to join our 3,000 strong team of dedicated staff and volunteers. You will work within a team who will cover a cluster of Glasgow Club Swimming Pools undertaking all aspects of planned and remedial Swimming Pool Plant Operation. This includes ensuring scheduled technical repairs and PPM work for swimming pools, spa pools, and health suite plant are carried out to specification and as scheduled.

Working closely with the Swimming Pool Technical Advisor, you will also collaborate with the dedicated Facility Management Pools Officer and Sport Operations Managers to ensure all contractors undertaking technical work in plant rooms comply with all appropriate standards, as well as preparing pools for maintenance works, such as draining pools and/or balance tanks in line with PWTAG guidance.
Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:
1. Competent and experienced in the operations of pool plant within a swimming pool environment.
2. Experience of water testing procedures and pool chemical handling.
3. Ability to operate and contribute within a multi-disciplinary venue team with minimum supervision.
4. Ability to work as part of a city-wide SPTO team, be proactive, assess work priorities, and use initiative to solve technical problems.
5. Working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations related to a leisure facility.
You will have a SPTO Qualification or National Pool Management Qualification. Ideally, you will have 3+ years of knowledge and experience of the operation of swimming pool plant and general M&E plant, as well as 3+ years of experience in maintenance and repair of swimming pool treatment and circulation systems and associated equipment.
