Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physician Associate to join our existing team and work in the Emergency Departments of South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking to recruit a Physician Associate who is passionate about the delivery of high quality Emergency care. Experience in Emergency Care is desirable, however educational opportunities are available to continue to develop skills and knowledge. There is an ongoing work based educational program and robust clinical supervision, with additional support and mentorship from a named consultant. You would be expected to engage in the RCEM curriculum. The Emergency Departments at STSFT have a well-established team of medical and non-medical staff groups. We have recently successfully embedded Physician Associates into the team who are proving an asset to the department. Main duties of the job The successful applicant will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing and treating patients presenting with a wide range of clinical conditions with direct senior support.
