Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team in Glynneath. This role involves supporting students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive tailored assistance to thrive academically and personally. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to implement individualised support strategies, fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the educational and social development of pupils with SEN, under the direction of the classroom teacher and SENCO.

Provide one-to-one support to students, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.

Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor students' progress.

Facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation in classroom activities and promoting social interaction among peers.

Candidate:

A solid understanding of child development and special educational needs.

Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting.

Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued within the last year). Prospective candidates without current certification may undertake a complimentary course through us.
