Production Supervisor Job Specification Key Responsibilities Performance & Operations We are looking for a production supervisor to join our busy production facility in Lichfield. The role will involve as follows: Ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met. Monitor shift performance and report accurate data. Manage resources effectively to meet production targets. Address and resolve production issues promptly. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities. Conduct audits and ensure adherence to standardised work processes. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Promote and enforce company health and safety policies. Take appropriate actions for non-compliance. Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and policies. People Management Maintain a strong floor presence with daily team engagement. Plan and allocate workforce effectively. Coach and support team members to enhance performance. Manage absenteeism and ensure payroll deadlines are met. Enforce company policies, including working hours and break times. Team Development Support recruitment and onboarding of new employees. Develop training plans to enhance team skills and autonomy. Conduct annual performance reviews. Recognise and reward individual performance. Facilitate effective communication within the team through regular meetings. Teamwork & Communication Ensure seamless handovers and information flow between shifts. Arrive early to coordinate with the previous shift. Collaborate with other supervisors to improve overall performance. Report on key achievements, challenges, and action plans. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement processes. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage resources effectively and drive performance improvements. Basic understanding of health & safety regulations and quality management.
