Estates and Facilities Management
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Estates and Facilities Management who are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and friendly team player to join the Business Support Office as a Business Support Administrator.
The Estates and Facilities Management team now has over 700 colleagues who are responsible for projects, engineering, maintenance, sustainability, property, grounds, gardens, domestic services, catering, residential, and student accommodation. In this role, your tasks and responsibilities will vary as you support all the areas above, making the job exciting and rewarding with just the right amount of challenge. We are looking for passionate, confident, and flexible people to help us keep the department functioning at its best.
Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for:
As an excellent communicator, you will work closely with and support colleagues across the department, providing administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and ensuring policies and procedures are met. You should be confident in taking meeting minutes at a high level and have a willingness to learn and adapt to change. Applicants should have well-developed problem-solving skills and the ability to work flexibly and independently while managing their own workload. The successful candidate will require excellent IT skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
The post holder is required to have experience of multitasking and previous experience working in an office-based environment. Previous knowledge of the University systems for recruitment and procurement such as Agresso and ITrent is welcome but not essential as full training will be provided.
Key Requirements:
1. Ability to work to tight deadlines and on multiple projects
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
3. Demonstrate resilience and ability to plan and prioritise while working on own initiative
4. Previous relevant experience of working in a busy customer-focused office environment
5. Understanding and experience of adhering to GDPR legislation and Data Protection Policy
