Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board
To work as a Senior Radiographer providing care for patients attending the general Radiology Department, CT and specialist areas as identified in your role.
You will normally work without direct clinical supervision but will report to the Senior/Superintendent Radiographers within the Department.
You will participate in the provision of an on-call emergency radiographic service for the Health Board.
Main Duties of the Job
Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board Radiology services are provided on three main sites: Princess of Wales, Royal Glamorgan, and Prince Charles Hospitals. The departments support a number of sub-regional specialties and have multislice CT, MRI, Cardiac Catheter Lab, and Gamma Camera. Busy A&E Units are supported by modular PACS.
We are looking for a Band 6 Radiographer to join the team supporting imaging services across the Health Board, specialising in CT. Applicants should be able to demonstrate strong communication skills with an ability to work effectively within the multi-disciplinary team. Successful candidates will support out-of-hours services within the general and CT department.
This post will be based on the Princess of Wales site.
The department is committed to providing training and development for all staff, with Radiographers providing a wide range of role extension.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* BSc in Radiography or equivalent
* HCPC Registration
Experience
* Relevant personal history of CPD
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
Skills
* Good communication skills - ability to liaise competently with various stakeholders
* Previous history of training staff in specialty area
Knowledge
* Working knowledge of CT service and procedures
* Participation in clinical audit
Personal Qualities
* Highly motivated
* Ability to work flexibly
