Reporting to the Senior Plant Accountant, to support the implementation of a new ERP solution at the Flimby Factory. To understand and actively support the current process (by providing cover for the Senior Plant Accountant as required) whilst obtaining a detailed understanding of the new solution and associated processes. Strategy for this role is to transition to the permanent Plant Accountant role at the end of the ERP implementation project. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITES: ERP Implementation Responsibilities To be an active member of the ERP implementation throughout the lifecycle of the project. Obtain a detailed understanding of the Flimby finance function and its relationship with all other areas such as EMEA Finance, US Value Chain Finance, factory production, purchasing and planning, style development, warehousing, etc. Support the development of process documentation for the new systems. Support end user testing, corresponding system training and go-live. Process Support Activities You will work closely with the Senior Plant Accountant to facilitate the Factory’s financial activities and reporting, providing analytical financial business support to the Operations Director and the Flimby SLT. This will include supporting the following activities; Completing monthly close activities according to close calendar and booking journal entries to the general ledger for transactions impacting the Factory. Interacting with all phases of operations to ensure proper financial representation is incorporated into all business decisions. The Plant Accountant must integrate with operations and understand the day-to-day workings within the Factory. Assisting the Senior Plant Accountant as business partner to the Operations Director to ensure sound business decisions, keeping them informed of the budgets, results, forecast and any other financial analysis and be prepared to present this information. Analysing monthly results and completing required reporting activities including preparing the monthly Factory Financial Package and other reporting needs as required. Supporting the annual budget process within the Factory. Based on information required, work with Operations, IE, Purchasing and Planning etc. to develop the annual budget and budget package. Setting Product Standards for styles manufactured in their facility. Providing Forecast updates as needed and review performance to forecast. Reviewing CARs and provide financial justification for capital requests. Controlling capital assets including taking physical inventories when required. Controlling Inventory by ensuring systems and business controls are in place to capture material usage, material movement and maintain accurate inventory. Supporting Warehouse management with cycle counts to ensure inventory integrity. Providing cost analysis to support both the financial and operations to drive cost reduction / improvement opportunities with a focus on utilisation of NB systems and technology to drive, enhance, and streamline processes and procedures. REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS: Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting/Finance with a minimum of two years related experience. In depth Cost Accounting knowledge. Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, Powerpoint. On-Hand experience with D365, Oracle and Power BI would be beneficial. CIMA desired but not essential. Confident, engaging and assertive. Excellent communication skills. Excellent problem-solving skills with an aptitude for analysis. Excellent organizational and planning skills with the tenacity to see things through to conclusion.
