Job summary
We have a fixed term vacancy for a Community Staff Nurse to cover 12 months' maternity leave. This post is full time ( hours) - Frailty SDEC is operational 24/7/365 so shifts will be day or night.
Within the Community Services Division of Wrightington Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust, The Frailty SDEC supports individuals who require both short term medical interventions and a period of bed-based, Nurse & Therapy led rehabilitation. It will support individuals to achieve specific goals which enable safe discharge back into the community or their own home.
Please note NMC registration is a requirement of this role.
Main duties of the job
Under the supervision of the ward manager the nurse is responsible for the provision, organisation and direction of nursing care of the patients in his/her care. To communicate effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and high quality care is provided to all patients.

11. In conjunction with senior nursing staff and specialist nurses participate in the setting/monitoring and evaluation of standards of care to patients.
12. To communicate effectively with all members of multi-disciplinary team regarding patientcare.
13. To assist with the investigation and timely resolution of complaints and PALS enquiries
